Folding patio doors are a type of door that opens by folding back in sections. Sometimes called accordion doors, or concertina doors. Patio doors are a great way to bring the outdoors in and enjoy panoramic views, even when the weather isn’t cooperating. The accordion folding doors are made of durable aluminum using stainless steel hardware. Aluminum is a strong and durable material that is low maintenance. However, it can be prone to condensation and does not provide as good of an insulating barrier as other materials. Bi-fold doors have multi-panels that fold inwards. They take up less space than other styles of folding doors and can be used in a variety of different settings. Another popular style is the tri-fold door. Tri-fold doors have three panels that fold inwards. They’re a great choice for large openings and provide a panoramic view when opened. Consider single panel door, if you have a small opening. Single-panel doors are easier to open and close than other types of doors and don’t take up as much space.
